Environmental Protection Specialist

Prepares and/or reviews environmental documents including Environmental Assessments (EA). Environmental Impact Statements (EIS). Categorical Exclusions (CATEXs). Records of Decision (ROD) and Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI). Forecasts future resource needs to manage emerging environmental issues. Conducts studies, surveys, and audits to identify environmental problems and provides corrective guidance. Works directly with Legal Counsel on issues and guidance on environmental projects& initiatives. Provides aviation specific environmental guidance to support FAA management and facilities, DoD proponents, and Third Party developers on environmental regulations in accordance with FAA OI 050.1 E and FAA JO 7400.2K. Coordinates compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and other federal and/state regulations as it relates to environmental reviews, aircraft noise analysis, and other NEPA policy relating items. To qualify for this position at the FG-13 level you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-H, FG/GS-12 in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Specialized experience includes:
Knowledge of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). Ability to present high level, technical information through briefings, reports and/or studies to a variety of audiences. Ability to apply environmental laws and regulations to advise on or resolve technical matters.In addition to the minimum qualifications, the following has been determined to be a selective factor for this position. Applicants who do not possess this criterion are ineligible for further consideration.Practiced and applied consultation under the National Historic Preservation Act and Executive Order 12898 Environmental Justice and purpose laws considered in conjunction with NEPA Applied knowledge with flight procedure designers and air traffic personnel in understanding and applying FAA environmental policies and procedures and requirements of FAA Order 1050.1 and FAA JO7400.2 IMPORTANT:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
