System Support Specialist

The incumbent will perform multiple, varying, and complex assignments under the minimal direction of a manager. The incumbent will apply experience and comprehensive knowledge applicable to identify and understand the business processes, automation needs, and data needs of the Division:
Clearly communicates to management their associated challenges and their benefits to the effectiveness/efficiency of the Division. Captures those needs as business/data requirements for AIR's local or enterprise IT systems.Maintains existing local IT systems, converts local IT systems to a web platform, or builds new IT systems. Use industry standard database and web technologies, such as SQL/JavaScript/HTML5/REST/AJAX/.NET/ASP. Applies discipline processes and complies with AIR's IT policies and procedures.Collects, analyzes, and presents AIR data, using a variety of reporting/visualization tools, to support decision making.Works collaboratively with other AIR employees performing similar information management duties on IT projects with service-wide applicability, IT policy issues, and IT strategic planning. Work as a team member with employees in the Division responsible for performing or developing business processes. Incumbent recommends solutions to complex problems; prepares and reviews management reports and/or documents; develops and/or recommends improvements to systems and or processes to improve operational efficiency.Independently plans time. Identifies, plans, and organizes available resources to accomplish projects/programs/activities. Makes optimal use of resources to complete activities within established schedules.Established policies/procedures provide guidance for most assignments, but allows considerable discretion for employee to select the most appropriate approach. Resolves most problems and work issues without assistance of a manager or more experienced professional.Work is rarely reviewed, typically through status reports and at project completion to ensure policy compliance and alignment with requirements.Performs other duties as assigned. To qualify for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-H, FG/GS-12. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Specialized experience includes:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
