Electronics Technician (Coordinator)

Serves as principle technical expert providing project installation/construction expertise in the preparation of the Project Work Plan. Plans, schedules, identifies required resources and coordinates execution of the installation/construction activities across multiple installations Centers.Performs work of broad scope and complexity applying technical experience and comprehensive technical knowledge and an understanding of new technologies and methods, and FAA policies and programs to accomplish assignments. Reviews design installation/construction documents for constructability concerns (i.e. from the perspective of an installation/construction contractor or Engineering Services Field Engineer/Technician).Coordinates installation/construction field changes with appropriate affected parties and stakeholders. Ensures installation/construction activity related project schedule changes are reflected and coordinated with Engineering. Ensures field installations/construction reports are accurate, contain an appropriate level of detail, and are timely.Provides training, mentoring, guidance and advice to field (installation/construction) personnel on technical issues. Provides positive quality assurance controls during installation/construction activities, including minimizing JAI exceptions. Acts as onsite focal point for OSHA construction safety. Ensure that all facility work permits and risk assessments are properly completed when required.Ensures required parts/materials are ordered/shipped on schedule. Incumbent is required to travel throughout Western Service Area in support of projects providing quality control. Hands on installation may be required. Prepares end of project critiques to analyze actual performance vs. projected performance (e.g. schedule, budget, quality, manpower, etc.).Work directly supports the objectives of the organization and the safe and continual operation of the NAS, FAA aircraft, and/or FAA academic programs. Contacts are both internal and external. Often represents the organization as a primary technical point of contact on projects, programs, and other work activities to coordinate and implement plans or to obtain information and resolve problems. Coordinates with other organizations and agencies concerned with FAA activities. May oversee the activities of contractors.Receives general program assignments from a supervisor or higher level manager. Assignments are stated in terms of priorities, overall objectives, and boundaries. Completed assignments are considered technically authoritative and are reviewed only for general compliance with organizational objectives. Identifies resources needed to perform assignments.Organizes and assigns resources needed to accomplish large work activities within established schedules. Provides guidance to other technicians and trainees regarding difficult technical or operational issues. Independently resolves all but unique technical problems. Interprets and adapts technical manuals, manufacturers' instructions, FAA policies and procedures. Work is reviewed for compliance with established policies and sound technical and programmatic judgment. To qualify for this position, candidates must show experience at the level of difficulty and responsibility that demonstrates an extensive knowledge of and experience in technology system interrelationships, and management of civilian or military automated aviation, navigation, and electronics systems. Generally, experience at the next lower level of FV-H/Level III, or equivalent, meets the minimum qualifications for this position as long as the experience supports the demonstrated abilities identified below.In addition to your resume, you MUST provide SEPARATE NARRATIVE statements for each Demonstrated Ability listed in this announcement. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
