Summary:
This position is responsible for driving trucks with capacity of more than 3 tons and providing delivery and customer service to commercial linen and laundry service accounts. The Driver/Customer Service Representative is responsible for pick-up and delivery of linen and laundry to public and government customers on the schedule routes, while providing the highest level of customer service.

Essential Functions:
Present a clean, neat and professional appearance at all times
Place loaded linen carts in delivery truck to form a compact load allowing articles to be unloaded in desired order based on route schedule; this process includes manually loading and unloading the truck
Consult with Order Filler and Duty Manager to ensure orders are properly loaded on correct truck
Complete pick-up and delivery schedule as assigned, while operating the truck in a safe and efficient manner and in accordance with all applicable traffic laws in the State of Washington
Unload soiled linen carts at laundry point
Weigh and record results daily in designated log
Regularly examine all equipment and vehicles and report defects to proper channels
Communicate effectively with customer, coworkers and supervisors
Provide feedback to the Production Manager regarding new business, customer changes, customer needs, and events, which could interfere with PSLS'' ability to deliver the level of service promised
Respond to all customer questions and requests utilizing excellent customer service skills
Education/Certification:
CDL Class B required
Valid and current Washington state driver's license
Clean five (5) year driving record with no accidents or moving violations
Forklift training and/or certification preferred

Experience:
Two (2) years route delivery experience
One (1) year customer service experience
Prior experience in a laundry setting preferred
Knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving techniques
Route sales experience preferred
Skills & Abilities:
Able to pass criminal background check, pre-employment physical and drug screen
Able to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather conditions (i.e. lift, bend, push, bins in excess of 200lbs and 75lb boxes) with minimal loss of performance
Able to effectively navigate within Puget Sound area; adept at reading local maps and Thomas Guide
Contact with Others:
Frequent contact with external customers; responsible for customer service and service follow up
Frequent contact with driver lead regarding work, production and routes
Other Working Conditions:
Driving/operating motorized vehicle
Full-time schedule with the ability to work long shifts--up to 10 hours, as needed
Able to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisor's, and customers
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong team player with the ability to work independently
