This is an exempt salaried position with a 45-hour work week.
Schedule may change based on department needs some nights and weekends are required.
Supervisory
Responsibilities:
Is responsible for creating and distributing delivery department schedules in a timely manner.
With the goal of optimizing efficiency and allocating overtime appropriately.
Supervise delivery staff, conduct evaluations, and manage performance.
Schedule deliveries, manage staff PTO, and train new hires.
Hold bi-monthly driver meetings and ensure all documentation is timely.
Order supplies, plan equipment purchases, and manage holiday/special event logistics.
Maintain product knowledge, uphold Macrina standards, and address operational issues.
Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Optimize delivery routes, maintain the van fleet, and manage vehicle fuel.
Handle insurance communications for accidents and resolve customer issues.
Enforce food safety and HACCP procedures.
Duties/
Responsibilities:
Holds delivery driver meetings at least bi-monthly.
Ensures all paperwork is completed in a timely manner.
(Write-ups, incident and accident reports, exit forms, etc.
) Orders supplies as needed to keep the department running smoothly.
Anticipates and plans purchases of large equipment and vehicles.
Plans and communicates changes for Holidays, large/special orders, and events and closures related to product distribution.
Maintains current knowledge of Macrina bakery products and processes.
Ensures that all products being distributed meets Macrina standards.
Communicates any issues with personnel or operations to leadership team members.
Follows up on departmental errors in a timely manner.
Ensures routes are sequenced properly and implements changes to make routes more efficient.
Works with sales team to set up and sequence new customers for delivery.
Is responsible for ensuring the van fleet receives all preventative and required maintenance in a timely manner.
Confirms drivers are cleaning their vans and completing the required checklist.
Is responsible for vehicle fuel management.
Communicates with insurance companies regarding accidents in company vans.
Troubleshoots and communicates any operational problems to production and wholesale staff.
Communicates with customers to resolve issues and answer questions.
Ensures staff strictly follows all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Follows and enforces HACCP procedures.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.
3 or more years of fleet management experience.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Ability to perform multiple tasks and a variety of duties.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Clean driving record and active driver license.
Up to date Washington State food worker card.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time and consistently lift up to 25 pounds.
Must be able to stand and walk for up to 8 hours at a time.
Must be able to drive large vehicles.
Compensation:
Starting wage:
$80,000 - $90,000 per year.
Wage range:
$80,00-$90,000 per year.
Non - discretionary bonus potential of $0.
00-$300.
00 every 4 weeks.
