**TS/SCI** Embedded Systems Software Engineer
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an Embedded Systems Software Engineer to join the Guidance Navigation & Control (GNC) team in Kent, Washington.
The team of software engineers will be taking existing prototype flight software and implementing these core software capabilities into the formal GNC flight software product.
There will become combination of software system engineering (producing software requirements, verification, and satellite payload plans) and software development (taking prototype software in the Julia language) and designing / developing the operational flight software in embedded systems (C++) through implementation.
This opportunity requires a Secret clearance and the ability to maintain that level of clearance for the duration of employment.
Responsibilities for the Embedded Systems Software Engineer:
o Define and develop satellite systems software and payload design while verifying space payload system requirements and interfaceso Contribute to system-level CONOPS development, functional analysis and decomposition while supporting system-level integration and validationo Perform analyses and simulations for space payload systems and develop analysis tools using MATLAB and object-oriented software platforms - Julia interface platformo Develop and verify system algorithms that meet functional and performance requirements while simultaneously performing hardware procurement, design reviews, and unit sell-offo Lead system test preparation, execution, troubleshooting, and verification and mentor the program junior communication systems engineers and review their workQualifications for the Embedded Systems Software Engineer:
o Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited related course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physicso 3
years of experience with digital payload design, analysis, development, and verificationo Experience working on satellite or space-based payloads in support of the National Space Defense Industryo Experience with digital/RF communications hardware and lab equipment Experience with the following:
Digital signal processing (DSP), Waveform design, and Antenna theoryoExperience with Julia, or MATLAB, or C++, and/or PythonoExperience with model based systems design and test planso Secret clearance is required - verification must be completed prior to submittal and client review Compensation for the Embedded Systems Software Engineer include:
o Salary range:
$130,000 - $150,000 based on experience o Medical, vision, and dental coverage
