Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) P-8 Poseidon program is currently looking for a Real Time Software Engineerto join their team in Kent, WA! In this position, you will be responsible for key capabilities such as weapons integration, sensor integration, data fusion, tactical data links, Operator Machine Interface (OMI), as well as the software execution environment for the platform, Simulation and Trainersupport software. You'll be an integral part of supporting the Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) P-8 Poseidon program, which is the premier Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) platform for the US Navy and several international partners. We are expecting contract award very soon which will enable team expansion and growth! This franchise program is anticipated to continue to be a stable program for the foreseeable future. Primary
Responsibilities:
Designs and develops Mission systems software Develops use cases for software requirements Conducts software architecture trade studies and modifications to meet new requirements Designs and oversees user Interface development Implements and document software research and development designs Supports system test, aircraft delivery, ground and flight-based test events Serves as subject matter expert for Operator Machine Interface, system-specific issues, processes and regulations. This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position requiresthe ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
A Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry Knowledge of SCALED Agile and sprint planning. 3
years experience with Java (preferred), C+
or C programming language experience Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
Working with the User to understand their control and display requirements Developing Graphical User Interfaces via Design Mockups and GUI-builder Applications/Tools Documenting the Control and Display behavior/User's Manual Familiarity with Military Usability Standards such as MIL-STD-1472G Knowledge of the Navy P8 Aircraft Mission Systems capabilities Typical Education &
Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Relocation:

$100K -- $150K
